Cool view over Harlem can be found here (thanks to Birthe) °°°
Harlem is also picking up on German media. Die Tagesschau has an interesting article on how Harlem changed recently (in German, thanks to Jamie)

Best friends need an anthem

… thanks to Jamie who came up with the idea.

Kind of a note to myself: great business card design can be found on Flickr or here °°°

iStockphoto.com is stock photography I love and can afford °°°

And the winner is…. Blue Vertigo has the most comprehensive collection of design links on the web, I think °°°

Google Acquires Internet

Wouldn't it be scary? I love this Eric Schmidt quote:

By leveraging third-generation mobile platforms in sustainable verticals, new monetization opportunities can manifest into an improved web experience, greatly benefiting investors and digerati alike – a true paradigm change synergizing the Web 6.0 framework on the enterprise level.

Microsoft is dead. Applications escape your hard drive for a better life online. Why limewire Photoshop when you can edit your Flickr photos right there? Word, Excel? Google has it for free!°°°

I often post music videos on my blog, but jukeboxtube is even more convenient…°°°

10 coolest views in New York City

  1. View from Manhattan bridge towards downtown (take the N, Q or B, D from Atlantic Ave to Canal Street or vice versa)
  2. View out of first car on the subway (e.g. the A train between 59th and 125th)
  3. Between skyscrapers on 6th Ave (see picture)
  4. Cast iron buildings in the streets of SoHo
  5. View of Central Park from the Rockefeller rooftop ("top of the rocks")
  6. View from George Washington Bridge southwards
  7. Over Hudson from the Cloisters
  8. Manhattan from Brooklyn Heights (the promenade)
  9. The Manhattan bridge from DUMBO
  10. View of surrounding skyline from inside Central Park

Well, and then there are 1000 more. Any suggestions?

The Top 100 fonts of all times include one of my favorites: Frutiger, also known as Humanist 777 and very similar to Myriad. It's also braintransfers corporate font. °°°

Urbanfonts.com has a great collection of free fonts. If you are looking for even more stuff to satisfy your design and layout needs, check out Blue Vertigo. A very comprising collection. °°°

Proud of my friends

Saturday I threw a birthday party at my place. Many of my friends came over. Some of them I have been knowing for a long time, my best friend from Germany lives here, friends I met in Ohio and in New York almost 12 years ago when I first moved here. Fairly new friends and even brand new ones. We had a great time, a wonderful night it was. I am so proud to have these friends. I love you all.

Video of the Day – Young Folks

Just found this one while filling up the Advent Calendar. I first discovered Peter, Bjorn & John on Pandora and really liked their music (hey, even got me a Peter, Bjorn & John radio channel) but this video is super cool.
